i kept having that issue too. i switched to firefox and it never happened again.
firefox detects web forgeries. every time you go to a site that tries to phish your info firefox will tell you and give you an option to leave the site immediately. this browser will warn you on sites other than myspace too.
i've never been phished or hacked since. and i don't have to change my password if i don't feel like it.

How do you prevent people from hacking into your myspace?
i know its a bit anoying
but try changeing your password often.
maybe so you dont forget your password
just add nuumber to the end
so say f your password was
bob
every week change it
1week = bob
2week=bob1
3week=bob3
or something

change your password often. and it doesnt hurt to change your email address password too. like change your myspace password every 2 weeks and your email every 3.
also dont share your password with friends. even if you trust them, they might write it down to remember it and a sibling or friend could see it and get into your profile.
Good Luck

The best way would be to use a strong password so that it will be hard to guess... Try this site for generating passwords:

Whenever you log on to MySpace, always check the address that you are in to ensure that it says "http://www.myspace.com". If not, you are at a fake "phishing" page created to steal your account. Re-enter the MySpace address manually (or through your Favorites or Bookmarks) and then log in as usual.
