everyone is suddenly deleting it because it's "soo dangerous". i don't now if i should know.. like what if tom created it so he could stalk people or something. i deleted him though, and i have alreadu set myspace to private but apparently people can still get in and hack into passwords, and then your personal information. should i delete myspace? is it really that bad?

myspace isnt that dangerous. just figure out a ahrd passowrd. some thing like 4rh657t and then just put it on a sticky on your computer or something. aomething inventive that noone can just guess. and tom won't hurt you , he's like, the co-founder of the site. have you heard of him hurting anyone else? no. just keep it private, %26amp; dont accept bogus friends that you don't know. and don't meet up people at public or private places - unless like theyre just really good friends with one of your buddies. myspace is not that bad unless you are. oh yeah even though it's private, don't put out too much information about yourself on the site. like where your living and stuff

people only hack passwords if you give it to them. Sometimes when you click on something it takes you to a page that LOOKS like a myspace login, but isn't. Just make sure that everytime you sign in, it's an actual myspace page by looking at the address in the address bar.

Its bad if you use it for bad reasons.

Example: young teenage girls setting up accounts and talking to guys they dont know and meeting them in person. Thats wrong, and thats why people show myspace being dangerous.

However, if you just use it to stay in touch with friends, there is no harm.

If you are scared though, cancel it and join facebook. Facebook is way safer than myspace.

It's only dangerous if you put too much personal info on your site. If you don't give out your phone number, address, etc. to complete strangers, you should be fine. It's no worse then going to the mall really.

a lot of people make a fuss about it but as long as you know what you are doin then you should be alright. Just don't put nothing you wouldnt want anyone else to see on it.

People are scared of myspace because TV told them to be scared. Don't list your email address, your real town, full name or real birthdate on myspace and you should be fine. Share as little personal info on the internet as possible.

It's true that its easy to track myspace users down in real life, but that's got nothing to do with MySpace. It's because some people spread enough information about themselves around on the internet (their personal sites, myspace, blogs, personal ads, etc) to let anyone with access to Google find them.
