Has Myspace become highly overrated? I ask this question because my personal account has been hacked into and has been spied on and I only use it just to keep in touch with old friend's.Is that a waste of time now?

I use it to keep in touch with old friends. I can't stand the people that want to add you as a friend just so they can have the most friends. Like someone who has hundreds of friends and maybe know only a handful offline. I also can't stand the ones with the slutty display pics.

you have to type those phrases when you comment people now

people post pictures and say they are ugly in the caption

there are 9 - 13 year olds on myspace

people hack into peoples comments and read and be nosy just to find out the person's info

That's what I use it for too an I was hacked BAD. I change my password every other day now just to be safe. My page friended (while I slept) 8 PAGES OF MEN MY AGE (I had to delete one by one -- I don't request friends unless I know them) AND whoever hacked it also put a code on my page that made a pop up come up anytime I clicked "profile" or when people opened my page (a windows pop-up and I have a MAC - not windows). A friend of mine commented me recently with a video -- I thought it was just going to be funny -- luckily it wouldn't allow me to open it --- it wasn't something she DID NOT send and it messed up some of her friends pages......it's not that myspace is overrated -- it's been a great tool for me --- we just need to somehow fight back these hackers!!

Myspace has always been a waste of time in my opinion, it was useful for promotion for bands as they could connect directly with fans but thats about all.

Its been in decline recently with the rise of Facebook and other social networking sites which aren't based on one gimmick like Myspace.
